The Good:
*Three if the four modes are useful. Full intensity is what I use most. Low intensity helps when I’m trying to read a dispatch ticket without blinding myself. Strobe could be useful, but I’ve never used other than playing around. SOS mode? I suppose that there are some who actually know Morse code.
*This thing is bright. Retina burning bright. I’m able to see addresses from the car with ease. Several times over the last 1.75 years I’ve used this light to shine in the faces of people approaching me whom I didn’t want to be near. I didn’t need the strobe mode. The intensity of the light alone is a deterrent.
*It’s tough. I’ve dropped it a lot. I believe that the depth of the recessed lens has kept the lens from cracking. I’ve been surprised a couple of times that it didn’t break.
*Battery life is pretty dang good. I use the light on full intensity for short intervals. 15-20 times a night for a few minutes, 5 nights a week. I get a full week, at an absolute minimum, from a full charge.
*USB charging has saved me hardship when the battery is going dead. The light will start flashing when it’s about to die giving a little bit of warning before blackout. I’m able to charge the light in the car as I’m driving. It’s a slow charge, but it works in a pinch. I use my ac phone charger to get a complete charge. The LED changes from red to green when charge is complete. To charge the light, the back cap unscrews and the USB plugs into the back of the camera body. The cap is tethered to the body by elastic string; it can be a little awkward, but I’ve never dropped the cap between the seats because if it. For me, it’s essential.
*The beveled end caps hurt when you need them to. This light is designed to be protection of last resort. Unfortunately, I’ve once had to poke and twist with the light. It’s effective.
*Water resistance is good. I’ve used this light in the rain a lot (I live in Florida). It’s never been submerged, though.
I’ve no complaints about this light. I’ve beat the hell out of it and it has saved my hide more than once. Cheers, Anker.

One evening, around 11:30 PM, our dog (who is a German Shepherd/Husky/Wolf mix and 80 pounds) was looking across the street and went into an alert stance. I turned and pointed the flashlight in the direction that our dog alerted me to, and along the fence line immediately across the street, and about 150 feet away I saw what looked like two yellow/gold reflectors in the beam of light. Everything was good until the "reflectors" blinked because of the bright beam of light. We slowly retreated up the 175 feet of driveway back to the safety of the house while keeping the bright beam of light shining in the eyes of our company that evening. Needless to say, we were both relieved when we closed the door behind us.
This is my second purchase of this same flashlight, because someone else in the family liked the brightness and safety of the bright light after dark in our environment and "borrowed" the first flashlight (I think that I would probably find it in his car, but if it provides some safety insurance and it makes him feel better about it, he can continue to "borrow" it).
The flashlight is one of the more sturdy and bright flashlights on the market in this price range, and fully charges overnight when necessary.
I have only two comments on the "con" side of the ledger; it would be better if there was a battery status indicator that would tell you when the flashlight needs to be recharged (because the light remains fairly bright until it flashes a couple of times and shuts off, and it would be better if the flashlight had a focusable beam so that the light could be concentrated on a narrower range of field.

What I like about the torch is that it’s rechargeable and that I can recharge the battery via the unit using a normal USB cable.
Obviously the battery has to be charged, but I tested the torch before charging to make sure there weren’t any issues. It’s hard to say how much charge was already it there but it was still super bright.
After fully charging the unit, I tested it again at night, even on the low setting it lite the garden up easily, garden length circa 100’ there were no dark spots, it was a full beam of light.
I didn’t test the waterproof characteristic as I’m not using in water or expecting to, but it’s nice to know that it should be watertight, with that in mind, you can see rubber O-rings at the joints, if I’m honest I can see over time that these seals will breakdown but I’m sure replacement seals can be purchased.
Pricing wise I got this on Prime Day, so there was a deal, I think the usual price £45.99 is expensive, but i was happy to pay the money I did £35.99 if the unit performs well, remembering that there is also an 18-month warranty.
I think this is a great torch so I showed the torch to a family member and they are now looking to purchase a unit.
